Beauty Haul

Hey There!

I thought I'd come back today with a small collective beauty haul

From left to right:

- Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in shade 101
besides the smell (candied watermelon) this is an overall really nice matte lipstick that isn't drying in the least

- Clarins Instant Light (natural lip perfector) in shade 04
now this smells of delicious vanilla frosting so no complaints on that side! it also feels very soft and moisturizing on the lips ~ being a moisturizer, that's quite good... !

- Roger & Gallet eau fraiche parfumée in the scent Fleur de Figuier
this smells, obviously, of fresh figs and is absolutely delicious but, sadly, doesn't last very long so you always have to keep it with you to reapply it - I still really like it though

- Hawaiian Tropic after sun body butter
I bought this one yesterday sdo I haven't fully tried it out yet but when I put it on after my shower last night it felt so smooth and soft and extremely creamy! It doesn't leave a long lasting residue on the skin, so that's a plus; and my legs felt a 1000 times softer!!

- Chanel Chance eau fraiche
This is my favourite scent as of late (and not so late because I'd been lusting after this for ages!) unfortunately, it also doesn't last very long ~ I have a thing for really fresh scents, but they tend to not be very strong and so not cling to the skin as well as regular perfumes would...

- Kate Moss for Rimmel lipstick in the shade 107
This is a really beautiful dark red shade. I feel like it would look really beautiful on any skin tone and price wise, it's really affordable!

I also placed a small order on Beauty Bay and ordered this small baby blue Pixi makeup pouch (/bag) for my handbag. It fits all of my essentials so that's great!

And lastly, I bought a new eyeliner. I wanted to try the Eyeko skinny liquid eyeliner in black. A friend of mine (hi Azalea!) had it and her eyeliner is always flawless and just downright perfect so I htought I'd give it a try and I've not been let down!
It has a felt tip applicator so it makes it quite easy to apply, it's really opaque so you do not need to go over it thousands of time and yeah, that's about it really !

Hope you liked the post and if ever you have any products to recommend, I'm all ears!

Drawings & Photos

Hi there!

I just wanted to share two of the things I like most and that is drawing and portrait photography.
I have always had a thing for drawing, ever since I was small and have always had a sketchbook (or ten...) roaming around the house. I might not draw in it for a while but sometimes I'll going on a 'drawing spree' and draw every day and so I thought I'd share some of the ones I have in my most recent sketchbook with.

Another activity that I really enjoy, as I said previously, is portrait photography, and, having a very photogenic (probably future model) sister at home certainly helps! So here are my two favorite shots which also happen to be the more recent ones I took.

... as well as one I took of my good friend Tara

Anyway, that's it for now!

Please comment to tell me what you thought of the drawings/photos, and what you think I should draw/photograph next, if you like these kinds of posts and ifyou have any tips and tricks on getting better!

Have a great day!

OOTD - Flappers

Hello there!

Here is a quick outfit of the day more or less inspired by the book I'm reading at the moment, Flappers by Judith Mackrell. I say inspired because of the boyish vest that hides all shapes and the long necklaces but I'm not actually going all the way flapper mode... let's say it's a modern, more minimal adaptation?

vest: Vero Moda ; top: Mellow Rose ; jeans: Asos ; shoes: Birkenstock ; bracelet: H&M ; necklaces:  market

bag: thrifted ; book: Flappers by Judith Mackrell ; Bracelet: mom's when she was young ; gloss: Chanel 367 ; nail polish: Mavala 152 in Mauve Cendré

That's it for today!

New Shoes !

I recently popped into Zara because 1) who doesn't love Zara
                                                       2) I have money for once because I started tutoring someone in english
                                                       3) sales are still going on here in Switzerland
                                                       4) well... i just wanted new shoes !!

Anyway, when I stepped out of the shop, it wasn't alone, but accompagnied by these sweet sweet chromed/silver pointy flats ~ that already gave me blisters might I say but that's alright, that's just the thing with new shoes right? You have to tame them first.

I just thought they'd make any plain outfit a little more fun beacsue, let's face it, who doesn't just always go for a plain balck outfit because they don't have anything to wear and black always looks good?

Anyway, that's it for now, I'm off for today.

Anway, if I do end up sicking to this blog then I'm assuming I'll mostly be talking about fashion, photography, makeup, that kind of thing but I guess there will still be the random post from time to time. (who knows).

I'm already rambling and this is my first post... gosh, this is going wellm isn't it?....

Ok well anyway, that's it for this post, hope you'll like my blog and follow it if you like it!
